Sailboat Cruise
Afternoon sail with catered French luncheon aboard 60-foot legendary ketch, Yankee. Claude Martin, retired owner/chef of Metro Bis, will prepare a gourmet French lunch for six guests; boat will be captained by owner Gordon Van Nes. The boat will leave from the Van Nes' dock on the Connecticut River in Chester and cruise the river. The chosen day can be mutually agreed upon by all participants anytime during the summer or early Fall. Donated by Gordon and Claudia van Nes, and Claude Martin.

House in Southern Vermont for certain weekends May through September: Funky house on a small river in charming Jamaica, Vermont, two and half hours from Chester. Framed Carol Grigg watercolor. Carol Grigg was born in Portland, Oregon in 1942. She grew up in Lake Oswego and has always lived in Oregon. Carol is part Cherokee Indian and she draws her inspiration from nature and primitive art. "I am influenced by primitive art, especially from the earliest cave paintings. The images I bring forth are surrounded by space and create a suspended moment in which one might rest. In this I would wish for the ideas of ecstasy, intuition, love and awareness in nature, healing power and spiritual unity to surface into the consciousness of the observer - participant. It is the Great Mother energy I am expressing." Her posters and lithographs hang in places from Big Sur to the Cairo Hilton.
